My process with Aaron started when I knew I had to change my habits and get to a next level, to a level where I knew I could get to but I ultimately didn’t know how to do it on my own. When the quarantine started I knew that it was a perfect time to persist and try to implement the basics. In April of 2018, I went on a scuba-diving trip to the Carribean and when I returned home, I got on the scale and weighed in at nearly 225 pounds. I knew deep down inside that I had to do something quickly to get back on the right track before it was too late. I immediately reached out to Aaron after working with him for many years in the past as a personal physical trainer. As my journey continued, I lost approximately 50 pounds and ran a half-marathon in 2019. As I get ready to celebrate my 49 birthday in 2020, I am still running races, working out regularly, and I am traveling and living an active lifestyle. This journey would not have been possible without the support of Aaron and his knowledge of working with the whole person as both a physical trainer and life coach. Aaron's compassion for his clients is truly inspiring and his coaching helped me transition through one of the roughest patches in my life.

Meet Your Coach, Aaron

Aaron DeGraffe is a certified fitness and life coach, Transformation Specialist, an expert in gay men’s health, and the founder of The Uplift Program.

Growing up an elite basketball and track athlete and gay, Aaron experienced quite a bit of judgment and shame from others who expected him to fall in line with society’s toxic stereotypes and expectations of masculinity. When he came out at 19, it was one of the most empowering and liberating experiences of his life.

As a tall and lanky teen who could eat anything and stay lean, Aaron’s fitness journey early on was primarily about putting on muscle. As he got older, and fat loss grew more challenging, Aaron began to study the impact of nutrition and lifting weights on the body’s metabolism, and started designing his very own program – one that would result in an amazing transformation not just for himself, but for many others as well.
As a Coach, Aaron is committed to serving and uplifting other gay men to feel confident with their bodies and powerful inside and out.
